Sarah McNamara

Sarah McNamara

Sarah McNamara was appointed as Chief Executive of the Australian Energy Council in July 2018. Sarah joined the Energy Council as General Manager of Corporate Affairs in January 2016. She is an industry leader with more than a decade of experience working with policy and regulatory frameworks across the resources and energy sectors. Prior to the Energy Council, Sarah was Chief of Staff to the then Minister for Industry, the Hon Ian Macfarlane, and has also worked as a senior policy adviser to the Prime Minister. Between 2008 and 2013 Sarah worked in AGL’s Corporate Affairs team as Head of Government Affairs and Community Engagement. Sarah began her career as a corporate lawyer, and has a Bachelor of Arts/Law from the University of Melbourne.

Andrew Dillon

Andrew Dillon

Andrew Dillon leads the peak national body representing gas distribution and electricity transmission and distribution businesses throughout Australia. He is an experienced energy sector executive with more than two decades in the industry. Andrew has held several executive roles in the energy sector, including at AustNet Services, an ASX-listed energy network owner, the Energy Supply Association of Australia and in the Victorian Government. Andrew is a Director of the Australian Gas Industry Trust and a former Director of Goulburn Valley Water.

Frank Tudor

Frank Tudor

Frank is the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Jemena, a business that owns and operates a diverse portfolio of energy transportation assets across the east coast of Australia. Frank has held various senior executive roles over the last 30 plus years in the international oil, gas, and power industries. Before joining Jemena as Managing Director on 15 October 2018, Frank worked at Horizon Power, BP and Woodside. Frank is excited to continue the excellent work that has led to the expansion of the Jemena Gas and Electricity Network and in establishing Jemena as a world leader in electricity distribution and pipeline infrastructure, technology, ownership and management. Frank serves on the Council of Australian Governments Energy Security Board Advisory Panel, the Reliable Affordable Clean Energy for 2030 Cooperative Research Centre (RACE for 2030 CRC), the Asia Society Advisory Panel, and is a Director of ActewAGL, Deputy Chair of Energy Networks Australia (and is Chair of its Gas Committee). He is also a member of the Business Council Australia Energy and Climate Change Committee, and Chair of the Energy Charter CEO Council.

John Cleland

John Cleland

John Cleland, Chief Executive Officer of NSW Distribution Network Essential Energy, was appointed as a Director of the Energy Networks Australia Board in November 2018 and Deputy Chair in November 2021. John is an experienced Chief Executive Officer with comprehensive executive and non-executive experience with large and complex organisations in the infrastructure (rail, ports, energy transmission and distribution), resources and logistics sectors. Tertiary/professional qualifications: Bachelor of Economics, Graduate Diploma in Financial Management, Associate Membership Institute of Chartered Accountants, Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia (FINSIA), Graduate Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD). Previous positions held: Head of Infrastructure (Coal), Anglo American PLC and CEO of WestNet Infrastructure Group.

Guy Chalkley

Guy Chalkley

Guy was appointed Endeavour Energy CEO in December 2019 and took up the position in April 2020. He is a highly regarded energy industry leader and influencer, and a board member of Energy Networks Australia, the peak national body representing gas distribution and electricity transmission & distribution businesses throughout Australia. Guy has a wealth of international, financial and operational experience gained across a diverse range of sectors operating and residing in Australia, Asia, Africa, Europe, and North and South America. His outstanding leadership qualities and experience sees him well positioned in leading Endeavour Energy as it continues its customer-centric journey, meets record growth across Greater Western Sydney, adapts to rapid technology change, and continues to deliver safe and reliable essential electricity services to 2.5 million people every day. Guy was appointed CEO of Western Power in 2016, a Western Australian State Government-owned transmission and distribution network corporation, after earlier roles including Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining Western Power, he worked for a decade at Veolia Water and Thames Water in senior finance and regulatory director roles.

QUALIFICATIONS & BOARD MEMBERSHIPS
Guy has a financial background and is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA).
Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) and Leadership WA 2013 Alumni.
Guy is a Board Member at Energy Networks Australia and Chair of its Finance, Audit and Risk Management Committee. He is also a director of EISS Super.
