Francis Bradley

Francis Bradley

Francis Bradley is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Electricity Canada. Electricity Canada is the National Voice of Electricity and serves its electricity industry members through the work of expert professionals led by Francis and directed by a Board of Directors made up of member CEOs. Francis is the co-chair of the National Cross-Sector Forum, overseeing Canada’s Action Plan for Critical Infrastructure. He also sits on the Steering Committee for the Electricity Sub-Sector Coordinating Council (ESCC), the Board for the Energy Council of Canada (ECC), the Positive Energy Advisory Council, and is a founding Board member of the Canadian Transportation Alliance. At the North American Electric Reliability Corporation’s (NERC) Member Representatives Committee and Board of Trustees’ meetings, Francis represents Electricity Canada and advocates strongly for its members in their activities related to the Electric Reliability Organization Enterprise, and its role in ensuring the reliability and security of the North American bulk power system. Prior to being named CEO in June 2019, Francis managed Electricity Canada’s day-to-day activities as Chief Operating Officer since 2014. During that time, he also acted as a member of the National Advisory Committee of Canada’s Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction and was a co-chair with the Standards Council of Canada of the Smart Grid Standards Advisory Committee. In 2019 Francis created and continues to host “The Flux Capacitor” podcast, featuring discussions about the future of electricity with CEOs, regulators, political figures, and leaders from civil society.

John Kousinioris

John Kousinioris

John’s prior leadership roles as Chief Legal and Compliance Officer, Chief Growth Officer and, most recently, Chief Operating Officer, have provided him with responsibility for almost every aspect of TransAlta’s business. He has overseen operations, shared services, commercial, trading, customer solutions, hedging and optimization and business development. John also served as President and a director of TransAlta Renewables from 2017 - 2021. Prior to joining TransAlta, John was a partner and co-head of the corporate commercial department at Bennet Jones LLP. He has extensive experience in securities law, mergers and acquisitions and corporate governance. John has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Honors Business Administration from the Ivey Business School of the University of Western Ontario, a Master of Business Administration degree from York University and a Bachelor of Laws degree from Osgoode Hall Law School at York University. He has attended the Advanced Management Program at Harvard University. John is Vice Chair of the Board of Governors of Bow Valley College and a member of the Board of Directors of the Calgary Stampede Foundation.

Jay Grewal

Jay Grewal

Jay Grewal is a proven leader with over 27 years of leadership and corporate management experience that includes working at executive levels in the utility, resource and consulting sectors. Since February 2019, she has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Manitoba Hydro, a provincial Crown Corporation headquartered in Winnipeg. Manitoba Hydro is one of the largest integrated electricity and natural gas distribution utilities in Canada. Prior to joining Manitoba Hydro, Jay was the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Northwest Territories Power Corporation. She’s also held senior executive roles with Capstone Mining Corp, Accenture, Inc., BC Hydro and CIBC World Markets. Jay holds both a bachelor of arts (honours) from the University of British Columbia as well as a master’s degree in business administration, finance from the Richard Ivey School of Business, University of Western Ontario.
